These things were everywhere! The selective focus took some work and patience, but I like what I got. The first and second photos are cropped. And on the second photo, I used the healing tool to take out the extraneous branches. I'm sometimes conflicted when I do this, because it does not tell the *real* story, but it sure does improve the image.
My favorite, and mostly standard, post-processing in PS Elements: auto levels & contrast, darken highlights, increase midtone contrast, and slight boost in saturation.
